There's a mod out there that makes the timers only start once you break concealment. I'd personally add 2 rounds to most timers since it's often impossible to move AND fight while still making it to Firebrand, particularly because some soldiers have lower than average move areas. I agree that the timers on LW2 Veteran are insanely tight. Cue up another set of rescue missions, I guess. And the shinobi, rookies, resistance crew and other assorted crewmen just had to evacuate with the straggler standing right next to them. And they still lacked 3 and 2 tiles respectively to reach Firebrand. Rest was exclusively dashing the fastest rout to the end zone. Sharpshooter got disoriented by a drone for one turn, while gunner shot 1 shot during the mission. Base defense is 30, so i can see something like 45+defense with this up. *Or Combat Awareness(+15 def +1 armor when on overwatch). If the defense bonus is enough it would nearly be like wading in with semi-regenerating armor and heavy cover like defense. I feel like the combo of Iron Skin(-3 melee damage)*, Formidable (+1 armor and generates heavy cover for allies), Bulwark(+1 armor, -66% explosive damage), Damage Control(+2 armor after taking damage), and Sacrifice(tank shots for allies, +def/armor when under effect) could be really powerful. but can't equip pistols? Also not sure if they can actually be trained but you still only have 3 ammo on the main gun Not Sure if Bulwark is fixed but you can do some impressive looking armor stacking.
